The legendary Hideo Kojima has indicated that Kojima Productions will reorient itself in 2009 in order to better compete on a global scale. MGS4 was indeed successful, but as Kojima has said before, it lacked features he wanted to add that had been taken for granted in other Western titles. Whether or not this means more multi-platform stuff, we are not sure.

Epic is celebrating the New Year with a big fat Gears 2 patch, it seems. The update will fix multiplayer bugs, take care of some persistent game glitches, and it will even add a few achievements, apparently. The patch will be available sometime this month, though no specific date was given, so keep your eyes peeled!

MS has today unveiled a new Xbox360 bundle that is set to go on sale in Japan. It is designed around the upcoming Capcom title Resident Evil 5. The console will include a 60GB HDD, a headset, and a copy of RE5 Deluxe Edition, which has a metal case and includes the game's soundtrack on disc. On top of that, gamers also get a code for a premium RE5 Xbox360 theme, all for the price of just 34,800 YEN or 253GBP.

It seems Hasbro and EA have inked a deal to bring some of Hasbro's classic board games to the XBox Live Arcade. You may think you never heard of Hasbro, but I assure you, you have played their games. Things like Connect Four, Mousetrap, and Battleship, are all Hasbro titles. This should be a ton of fun, and remember, don't get caught - diagonally!

Gamasutra has compiled a list of the most anticipated and biggest games coming in 2009, at least for the first half. The list includes games like Aliens: Colonial Marines, Tekken 6, Bayonetta, and Final Fantasy XIII. Check it out, some of the games are certainly going to be winners, and lookout for out list sometime soon.

Microsoft has told Eurogamer that the first Xbox Live Arcade title to be posted, in Europe at least, is going to be called Interpol. The game is a point and click investigation title, it seems, which was never a genre that seemed worthwhile to us here. Good job MS, start the year off with crapola!"Calling all agents, do you have what it takes to track down an evil fugitive? We are not sure exactly how or why a Microsoft executive is talking about the PS3 price cuts, but according to Aaron Greenberg, MS expects the PS3's price to drop in the next couple of months. In fact, he said he was surprised it had taken this long. Maybe he has some inside dirt we are not privy to. Still, a MS man making predictions about a Sony console does not inspire too much confidence.

Well known MMO developer Turbine has confirmed it is working on a new MMO game that is based on a micro-transaction model. This means pay to play folks, and not only that, but pay to upgray-de. The more u spend the better your avatar becomes. Some fans like this style of play, and some don't, but the supports have now become too big of a minority to ignore. The information was gathered from a job posting on the Turbine website, by the way.
